CUMARU

CUMARU Cumaru, known as Brazilian teak or golden teak, is an extremely hard and resistant wood of Brazilian origin. Its color varies from reddish brown to warm dark yellow, and its density is an incredible 120% greater than oak. Cumaru wood is hard to burn, which makes it suitable for domestic environments and public spaces. Moisture transforms its surface into a uniform silver-gray patina, but the color can be preserved by applying teak oil. Cumaru wood is known for its durability and resistance to rotting and decay, which makes it ideal for outdoor applications such as patio floors and facades. These characteristics, along with its aesthetic appeal, make it an excellent alternative to Burma Teak and Ipe Lapach. Its warm color palette and attractive texture leave an elegant impression, and the Cumaru terrace can last over 35 years without maintenance, even in direct contact with the ground. The quality of cumaru is significantly affected by the origin of the material and drying in a dryer (KD) at 18% moisture. This tree grows in Central and South America, reaching a height of up to 55 meters and a diameter of up to 170 cm. Cumaru terrace ages with elegance, and its durability and resistance ensure a long life and an aesthetic appeal that develops over the years.
