THERMO PINE – THERMALLY MODIFIED SCANDINAVIAN PINE
Thermal modification of wood is a method by which wood is treated with high temperature and steam (minimum temperature is 160 °C). In this way, the wood becomes more resistant to fungi, external climatic influences (rain, sun), and at the same time we achieve that the wood seems calmer because its humidity is between 4 and 7%. Thermally treated wood is natural, without the content of chemical additives, produced from certified wood - strictly controlled felling. Thermally modified wood gets a uniform light brown or dark brown color, depending on the temperature - by thermotreating. It can be brushed, which emphasizes the texture, or oiled, which emphasizes and preserves the color.
It is used for external (facades, terraces, fences, decorative surfaces on walls and ceilings) and internal (wall and ceiling coverings, decorative inserts, fences, etc.) surfaces. Such wood can be glued, planed and processed in other ways.
